Voice Lessons:
After YEARS of singing (I started voice lessons when I was 6!) and studying with many different teachers and in different programs/conservatories throughout the years, I still didn't feel like I had a hold on my vocal technique. Though each voice teacher I studied with taught me something valuable, because of differing teaching 'techniques', I was left confused and wrongly feeling like "I must know my voice better than anyone else" or "my voice just works this way".
When the pandemic hit, I was able to slow down my vigorous performance schedule as a musical artist and take a look inward, envisioning the singer I truly wanted to become. After much research, I began studying with the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA)... and everything changed for me!
The IVA Method helps singers to develop a healthy voice that is connected through the entire range, allowing them to negotiate the “bridges” of the voice into the upper registers easily and without muscular tension. This method is based on 17th and 18th Century principles of singing combined with the latest scientific research and cutting-edge techniques. Whether performing gospel, opera, rock, pop, jazz or musical theatre, students of this method can enjoy these benefits in their singing:
This method is unlike any other I've studied, and the best part about it is that it works. And don't just ask me, take a look at the amazing community of IVA teachers that teach this method all over the world. I am SO passionate about teaching the IVA Method and I can't wait to share it with you!
